Hey guys,

Seeing as my Waist Trainer challenge didn’t go too well – I’ve decided to start an altogether new challenge whereby I drink one Superfood Smoothie a day.

I bought a NutriBullet last year and have yet to make the most of it… I mean, I used it last Spring/Summer but I just got bored soon after.

Now,  I’m planning to write a blog and document my Juice Cleanse with you… Let’s start with today’s #NutriBulletin, shall we?!

I bunged Wheatgrass, Kale, Ginger, Kiwi and Apple in my NutriBullet and blended until smooth. Before that, I added ice because I can’t drink it lukewarm – it’ll make me sick!

It tasted horrific, I’m not going to lie, but it’s beyond healthy! This is a detox smoothie that is so beneficial for you.

However, you don’t need to create smoothies with vegetables in… My friend lost a lot of weight by juicing blueberries and ginger every night for a month.

What I love about smoothies is the fact that they’re very filling… You can use them as a meal supplement, one that still packs in all the vital nutrients.

Remember to eat healthily and train dirty alongside this juice cleanse for optimum results!

Love,

Miamii

LUSH Cosmetics don’t just sell bath bombes, you know… They also sell hair care, skincare, make-up, perfume, bubble and massage bars too…

During my lunch break, I headed to my nearest LUSH to try one their massage bars. I was greeted by a lovely Lushie who demoed the Each Peach massage bar on my hand. She rubbed the bar into my skin until it began to melt, explaining all about the ingredients that go into it… She then began massaging the essential oils into my skin – topping it off with a dusting powder.

Although I love the citrussy smell of it and enjoyed how soft it made my skin feel, I opted to purchase the Peace bar instead because I fell in love with the cause… I also knew that my mum would love it because ‘Peace’ is her middle name…

A culmination of the most peaceful ingredients we can find, Peace massage bar is the perfect recipe to settle your soul. We’ve used our new aeration technique to blend Fair Trade organic cocoa butter from the Peace Community in Colombia with Fair Trade olive oil, creating a light, smooth and luxurious massage on the skin. That lovely lavender-chamomile aroma? It’s a combination of four fragrances from our signature Synesthesia massage at our LUSH Spas: Acceptance, Forgiveness, Calm and Content; traits we could all benefit more from. Go on, give Peace a chance.

Okay, so the Peace Bar is a peaceful smelling massage bar that evokes relaxation within you as soon as it absorbs into the skin. Packed with only the best Fair Trade Columbian Cocoa Butter, Fair Trade Shea Butter and Fair Trade Olive Oil, this massage bar is sure to send you to sleep at first contact.

Apparently, the majority of the proceeds of Peace go to the Columbian Peace Community who continue to fight for peace in Columbia.

This supports the self-sustaining farmers who are peacefully protesting the civil unrest in their country.

So, once I finished work, I went home to test out the massage bar on my first client – my mum. I copied the Lushie’s every move to make sure my mum had the best hand and foot massage ever. Like I predicted, she loved the smell, the name, and what it stands for. She also fell asleep mid-massage.

Who knew I gave such good massages?!

Me wearing my Premadonna Waist Trainer

Today was probably the most uncomfortable day of waist training yet, hence why I wasn’t in the mood to take selfies…

I had slept in my waist trainer the night before [and not very well at that] so I was reluctant to take it off for a breather. It’s like getting really far on a project and giving up last minute; something that’s never going to happen – not to me anyway!

I started my day with a minimal breakfast, because I didn’t want to feel sick again [like yesterday] and carried on with my day. I thought it’d be a good idea to go out in my corset for a little walk and bonding session with my brother… Lo and behold it turned into a power-walk up a major hill!

I’ve got to admit that this was harder than anything I’ve ever done. I mean, I’ve worn the corset to the gym before, and it didn’t hurt that much!

Reaching the top of the hill, I felt like I’d broken the majority of my ribs. ‘So this is what it feels like’ I thought.

After that walk, I came home and had a shower, and now’s the time to admit that I haven’t worn it since – only because I sweated so bad in it that I need to clean it before I wear it again…

Oh, I forgot to mention that I’ve noticed a slight improvement in the size of my waist. However, I’m not sure if it’s solely down to wearing the waist trainer OR whether lathering Ann Chery’s Caffiene Cream has also got a vital role to play!

Happy Valentine’s weekend to everyone who’s coupled up, singled down or just busy enjoying the life of a Bachelor/Bachelorette.

My Valentine of the year has to be my mum – like every year, she’s the only one who can handle me without reaching the end of her tether. Having said that, I’m very low maintenance, and she knows this!

To celebrate Valentine’s weekend, my mum got me the cutest heart shaped Ferrero Rocher packet with a post-it attached which read: “Be Mine!” #Goals or what?!

So, whoever you’re spending Sunday with, enjoy it and make the best memories!

Me wearing my Premadonna Waist Trainer

Waist training is a process that involves wearing a latex waist trainer or a tight laced corset to cinch in your waistline. It’s used to give women a more exaggerated hourglass figure with a really small waist but the hips remain with curves.

Hi, guys!

I’ve decided to start a waist training challenge, and I want to share it with you…

For the next few months, I’ll spend eight to ten hours per day wearing a corset as a way of training my waist to shrink in size. In time, I hope that this challenge will help me to lose weight and improve my posture, while dropping inches from my waist – helping me to feel body confident.

My fascination with the Waist Trainer challenge comes from the media. Many a-list celebs are papped wearing a corset and/or being interviewed about it. So, I thought if it’s good enough for them, it’ll be good enough for me.

Please note: I am not doing this because I am conforming to the stereotype that society upholds of how women’s bodies should be… This is fully my decision and one that I’ve come realise might benefit me.

No matter where you search, the results of “waist training reviews” are all the same… They tell you it’s really damaging to your insides with some even complaining of a  broken/fractured rib cage. But, I like to think that that’ll only happen if you’re wearing a size too small. If you choose a corset that fits you, you won’t have to go through that amount of pain – least of all injure yourself!

What’s more, although waist training has had its fair share of bad publicity, it’s actually proven to work. Not only does it take inches off our waist-line, it also helps us manage how much we eat and improves our posture.

Okay, so, back to this post! I woke up at 7:30am GMT for work and decided I’ll wear it underneath my garments. For the first time ever, I was able to fasten it to the tightest it goes! As you can imagine, I was chuffed to bits… I mean, I’ve been trying to get it that tight since I got it.

After all the clips were done up, I found that I literally could not move. I felt restricted in the torso department but as the saying goes: “no pain, no gain!” Plus, I knew that this is all part of the ‘breaking into the corset’ phase so that didn’t bother in the slightest.

I soldiered on and continued with my day as usual, pouring out a bowl of Kellog’s Special K with banana chips. Look, if I’m going to do it, I’ve got to do it right! There’s no point having a Poptart [which is my favourite breakfast in the world] when I’m trying to lose inches off my waist and/or flatten my torso region.

What I noticed was how quick it took for me to feel full [something I’ve tried to tackle for years]. I also discovered my posture had changed, I was able to stand and sit up straight without slouching.

As the day wore on, I started to get increasingly uncomfortable. It literally felt like I’d just come out of a tummy tuck surgery. My ribs were starting to cave in, and my waist was starting to tighten. But, I had to stick it out for this challenge.

One thing which shocked me was my ability to continue working through all of this discomfort. It didn’t affect my work-ethic and I just didn’t care…

Lunch was hard. I bought a small baguette, some hummus, salad greens, and sliced cheese with handful of crisps. I couldn’t finish it… I instantly felt sick afterwards. I toyed with the idea of taking it off so that I could breathe and compose myself, but I didn’t knowing that I’d class myself as a failure if I did.

I managed to pull through until home-time, YAY! When I got home, I opened the door to find some Ferrero Rochers on the doorstep. Someone, somewhere is really trying to test me! But, I don’t know where I got the courage from to decline them, but I did. SHOCK HORROR!

A little part of me was thinking that if it wasn’t for Lent, I’d probably have ripped them open and this would’ve been a completely different story.

Anyway, I got home [with my self-control in tact], took the corset off for 15 minutes while I showered and strapped it back on for another hour or so – and this time proved a lot easier to put on.

Two hours later, I’m still wearing it [past my 8 hours promise] and am still finding it uncomfortable. However, I may end up sleeping in it tonight if that’d mean it’ll hurt me less in the morning.

*** This is not my first time wearing a waist trainer. I have been wearing it on-and-off since Christmas, but was doing so for one to two hours each day [on the first set of hooks]. I have since got used to it and am able to wear it for longer periods of time at the tightest set of hooks.

So, if you’re new to the whole waist training thing, please don’t overdo it and begin at the widest size. For more information, check out: http://www.waisttrainers.net.

healthy_mix_serum_foundation

Give your skin a radiance boost with Bourjois’ Healthy Mix Serum Gel foundation – made from a vitamin-rich fruit therapy formula for an even complexion and an instant anti-fatigue result!

Its fresh and instant blending gel texture blends and glides onto the skin for an even, natural finish with no mask effect. Imperfections are erased, signs of fatigue are smoothed and the skin’s radiance is boosted for up to 16 hours*.

Made from an instant anti-fatigue vitamin-rich fruit therapy formula with litchi, goji berries and pomegranates.

When I’m not using Cargo, Rodial, MAC or MaxFactor’s Pan Stik, I’m wearing Bourjois’ Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation. Let me tell you, this foundation puts the best in best seller!

If, like me, you suffer from sensitive skin, you should definitely give this a try… It’s packed with fruits and vitamins that won’t harm your skin in any way, in fact – it’ll make your skin healthier! I know it’s hard to believe that a foundation could be good for your skin, but I promise you that this one is.

I remember first wearing it in sixth-form after my acne breakouts started to emerge. I hated my skin and wanted something to soothe yet cover it up and this one did just that. I used to always get compliments on my skin, telling me how “radiant” it looked – I had this to thank.

What I loved most about this foundation/serum is that it didn’t further break me out. In fact, I’ll go as far as to say it helped reduce the look of my spots. I also found that it didn’t block my pores – letting my skin breathe. My skin became more revived, radiant and even use after use…

If you’d like to try this foundation, head over to Boots – it’ll set you back £10.99 but it’s so worth it. There are only six shades to choose from, so be sure to choose the right one… Oh, and I forgot to mention, it smells delightful!
